A likeness that still looks like them in ten years.
Portrait tattooing is the hardest thing we do, and the least forgiving. A few millimetres in the wrong place and the likeness is gone — so we work from the best photograph you can find, at a size that gives the features room to breathe.
Family portraits, memorial pieces, pets, musicians and film characters all come through the studio. Most portraits are done in black and grey, because the tonal control needed for a convincing likeness is easier to hold and easier to keep looking right as the tattoo settles.
Size is not a style choice here, it is a technical requirement: a portrait tattooed too small loses its detail as the ink spreads slightly over the years. We would rather talk you into the right size than take on a piece that will not last.
