Horror

Horror tattooing covers classic monsters, slasher icons, body horror, gothic imagery and the darker end of realism. It is built on heavy contrast — deep blacks against bright highlights — because that is what creates dread in an image.

Most horror work is black and grey, though selective colour used sparingly, a single red, can be far more disturbing than a full palette. Texture work matters here: decayed skin, bone, torn edges and wet surfaces all have to be rendered convincingly.

These pieces suit larger placements where detail has space to sit — thighs, backs, chests and full sleeves.
