Flowers are the most requested subject in the studio, and the most personal. Roses, peonies, wildflowers, lilies, lavender and birth flowers all come through, in every style we work in — delicate fine line, soft black and grey, full colour and loose watercolour.
A floral piece is designed around the body part it sits on rather than dropped onto it. Stems follow the line of a forearm, a shoulder piece wraps with the muscle, and a spine piece is set out to stay symmetrical as you move. That is why these are drawn for you rather than picked off a sheet.
Sizes run from a single small stem to a full sleeve. Memorial florals — a birth flower, or the one that was always in your grandmother’s garden — are some of the most meaningful work we do, and we will take the time to get them right.
