Fine Line & Mandala
Precision geometry and delicate single-needle work.
Fine line work is done with very small needle groupings to produce thin, precise, consistent lines — botanical pieces, script, minimal illustration and delicate ornamental designs. Mandala and dotwork sit alongside it, built from repeated geometry and stippled shading rather than solid fill.
Both demand symmetry and a steady hand. A mandala that is a few degrees out of true is immediately visible to the eye, so these designs are mapped onto the body carefully before any lining starts, following the curve of the limb rather than fighting it.
Fine lines are thin by design, which means placement matters more than usual: high-friction areas such as fingers, hands and feet will soften faster. We will be straight with you about which placements will hold and which will not.
